Awards

As an artisan food producer, there is one Award that has been my goal for years – to win The Guild of Fine Foods Golden Fork for East Anglia.  In 2019, my dream came true, and I was humbled to win this – it really does mean so much.

Over the years, I have won over 140 Great Taste Awards which is no mean feat for small producer.  The Awards have predominantly been for Ice Cream, but it might shock you to know that I have won a higher award for my gluten free granola than leading cereal manufacturers!

Last year’s chocolate truffle Awards have proved that these are pretty consistent, although there is more work to be done to improve them – everyone strives for a 3* Star Award.

It is not only Great Taste Awards that The Parlour has won.  In 2017 we won the Suffolk Life Magazine’s Award for Outstanding Customer Service – which was a lovely tribute to Yvonne who managed the shop at that time.

Although Awards are amazing, the most important part of running a small shop is to hope that all customers enjoy their experience when visiting.  Your comments really do mean the world, and on days when everything seems a bit much a customer saying 'wow that tastes amazing' just simply cheers me up..... and I really thank you all for your support.
